What’s up, everybody, Jason Moss here and in today’s video, I’m going to show you how to fix the failed download in Google Chrome. All right. A problem that is super duper annoying, but the good thing is it’s an easy fix. OK, now, I don’t know why it plagues certain computers and certain users. I feel like it has to do with a number of different things and variables like what you have downloaded on your computer, certain antivirus stuff, whatever, you know, all the different settings that everybody can have.
I don’t know exactly why it does it, but this is how you fix it. It’s going to fix 99 percent of your guys problems out there. All right.
So all you do and I’m in Windows 10, I know this works on Windows seven and Windows eight, the process will will be the same, but it might look slightly different. So you can either come down here.
All right. And you can type Regedit. All right. And you’ll see this is the registry, Ed. That’s what we want. Or you can click on here and type in here.
You can also hit the windows key on your keyboard in are the letter R and you’ll have this run come up, OK, and you just type in Regedit – R E G E D I T and hit OK, you’re going to have the security thing pop up here.
Yes. All right, now, once this window is up, all right, this is where you do all the the things in here. OK, the first thing you’re going to want is the key local machine. So open that. All right. And then we’re going to click on software folder. Right. Once that opens, we’re going to come down to Microsoft right here. All right. And inside Microsoft, we’re going to scroll all the way down to Windows folder and I’ll put these folders in the description below so you can see it also.
All right. So open that Windows folder. Now, we’re going to come down to current version right here. Open that folder. It’s a current version. You’re going to go down to policies. Right here and in policies, all right, we’re going to click on attachments. OK, now, once you click on attachments over here on the right hand side, you’re going to see these two things on the scan with antivirus. All we do is right.
Click it, modify. All right. In all you do is change this value from three to one. Right. And you hit. OK, all right. That’s it. That’s all you have to do. My computer doesn’t have this problem right now, so I’m not going to mess with it. Like I said, I don’t know why it plagues certain individuals, but that is how you fix it. Change that three to a one and then you are done and then you can x out of this.
So, yeah.
Then go to your try to download what you were downloading. If it still doesn’t work, I would try restarting your computer and then try that download again. All right. But like I said, this works for 99 percent of the people out there. If this video was helpful to you, please smash that like button hit subscribe. I got videos like this all the time. I would really appreciate it. If you don’t want to do those things, please just leave a comment.
