What’s going on, guys, Jason Moss here, and today’s video. I’m going to show you one of the most helpful Chrome extensions that you absolutely need. If you run any kind of Facebook ads, especially if you are an agency running ads for clients. Okay. so that tool is the Facebook pixel helper, Chrome extension. All right. It’s very popular, but I’m finding that a lot of guys don’t even know it exists. So I’m trying to help you out tell you, you need to download and install this in your Chrome browser. All right. So what does this do basically when you’re trying to you know, pinpoint different issues with your pixel, especially if you’re setting up different events, tracking different things, like add to cart and clicking events whatever it might be. Some, it can be difficult to track those without this pixel helper.
Okay. So if we go over to my site here up in the top right corner, you’ll see the extensions, of course. And now that it is installed, you’ll see that there are, it’s tracking two different things here. All right. And when we click on it first thing it does is it tells us the pixel ID that is installed, which you need that pixel ID quite often. So that makes it very easy. They even have a click to copy button right there. Very, very simple. And then it shows you the events that are being tracked. Okay. And you can see that all right there in live time. All right. You can even view analytics, which I believe shoots you over to your business manager. They don’t allow you to do it for other random people. Of course. Okay. But let’s check on like a site that has a lot of different events going on. So here we are. And gopro.com. Yeah. And they’re, they’re the hero nine just dropped today. I’m a huge GoPro fan. So that’s pretty sweet. I’m going to have to pick that up. I love that they have the screen on the front now. But anyways, back to the pixel helper, you’ll see that this is their homepage. They have two events going on. So nothing crazy happening here, but let’s go over to their cameras page
And you’ll see that this begins tracking as things are loading on the screen. Okay. So two events again, all right. Everything looks the same here, but let’s click add to cart and see what happens. Alright. So we just hit add to cart and now all of a sudden five events are happening and you can see they’re tracking the page view. This is, this looks like a custom conversion that they’ve named HVA optimization. I’m not sure what they’re trying to track there exactly, but you’ll see, they’re doing add to cart as well. And then a button click automatically detected. So they’re tracking all these different things which can help them. Later on retarget me with a different ads. Like they’re seeing that I just added this to my cart, but if I don’t check out right now, I’m probably going to go on Facebook later and get a ad from them saying, Hey, you need to check out, you know, cause they can see now that I haven’t checked out.
And that’s the beauty of the Facebook pixel of course. All right. So five items in my cart. I’ve been playing around with this. I don’t know what else I have in my cart here. I don’t know why it’s seven 99, but yeah, that’s how this works. The pixel helper is awesome. Like I said, especially if you’re doing ads for clients, troubleshooting different things that your pixel might be tracking, or it may not be tracking correctly. This is a absolute godsend. You know, figuring out all the different things. All right. So that is it. Just go to your, the Chrome store type in Facebook pixel helper, and this is what you’re looking for here.
